Mr. John has extensive experience in the practice areas served by DJK. He represents financial institutions, developers, transportation companies, aviation and maritime entities, fishing interests, and a broad range of commercial clients in both litigation and transactional matters. His practice also includes advising clients in the hospitality and restaurant industries, as well as representing management in employment-related issues.

John’s work further encompasses asset-based lending, leasing, real estate, and creditor rights protection; vessel and aircraft financing (including mortgages and secured interests); prosecution and defense of vessel arrests; compliance with the California Finance Lenders Law; defense against lender liability claims; and enforcement of creditor rights in bankruptcy proceedings.

Coming from a family engaged in commercial fishing, John worked aboard fishing vessels before attending law school—bringing firsthand industry knowledge to his representation of fishing and maritime clients.
